I'm amazed by the number of books on personal finance available at my local bookstores, and the obvious sales they generate, since the content is usually so very poor.
At the height of the so-called New Economy, Warren Buffett wrote the following in his annual letter to shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway:
"We have embraced the 21st Century by entering such cutting-edge industries as brick, carpet, insulation, and paint."
